William Godwin once rightly said, “Justice is the sum of all moral duty.” Jyotirmoy School of Law, nestled far away from the madding crowd in the beautiful suburbs of Kolkata, aims to impart interdisciplinary legal education that is socio-economically and industrially relevant. The school has been resolutely promoting legal and ethical values while nurturing its students to be integral members of global, political, social and economic justice systems.
Jyotirmoy School of Law which is affiliated to Calcutta University and recognised by Bar Council of India is a noble initiative of Jyotirmoy Education & Welfare Foundation which was established in 2008. The institution has a Wi-Fi enabled campus, a well-equipped library and all other necessary amenities to help students with research and documentation. In order to ensure all-round development, the students are constantly encouraged to participate in various extra-curricular activities such as moot courts, debates, legal extempore, legal aid clinics, seminars, conferences and other activities like cultural functions, sports, yoga etc.
Our students have consistently acquired top positions in University Examinations and have also interned with leading Indian Law firms, top lawyers, prominent judges and NGOs.
