Law and Society Forum
Jyotirmoy School of Law, among the best Law Colleges in Kolkata, West Bengal, has taken various initiatives, and forming a legal and society forum is one of them. This is another voluntary forum consisting of teachers and students interested in studying and researching law in the context of contemporary social, political and economic conditions. One of the best programmes in the domain, this forum has been set up with a view to developing law as an effective instrument of social change and progress. The forum meets once a month and functions under the direction of an advisor nominated by the head of the institution. The members of the forum prepare draft legislations and submit them to authorities concerned, which brings them closer to the reality of law and its many ramifications which, without doubt, is one of the best processes of mastering legal nuances.
