- Jyotirmoy School of Business (JSB),one of the top B Schools in Kolkata in the eastern region is an initiative of Jyotirmoy Education & Welfare Foundation. The Foundation was established in the year 2003 and since then has consistently worked towards providing educational opportunities right from the kindergarten stage to doctoral levels.
- The foundation administers several colleges and schools in Sonarpur, West Bengal. The Jyotirmoy Public school was established in the year 2004 and currently has 300+ students on its rolls.
- The year 2008 was a momentous year with the setting up of Jyotirmoy Knowledge Park, as a one-of-a-kind educational park which houses colleges from Under Graduate (UG) to Post Graduate (PG) levels. JKP aims to be among the best education hubs in West Bengal and will strive to compete with the best in India in terms of infrastructure and academics. The law school as well as the Undergraduate Management College are also part of this campus.

- The Foundation also strives to fulfill its social obligations through a system of scholarships for poor but meritorious students of the region and a policy of active involvement in the development of the neighbour ring region and community.
- Its sister foundation Saraswati International Education and Welfare Foundation (SIEWF) through its contacts in the Asian subcontinent, particularly China, Philippines, and Singapore, works towards true globalization of education through its Student and Faculty Exchange Programs, as well as through creation, promotion, and maintenance of inter-country Academic Programs. SIEWF connects 1200 students, 50 faculty and 13 universities together.
- Jyotirmoy School of Business (JSB), the management school of the foundation has been conceptualised as a premier B-School which shall provide its students with exposure to the best management practices of both the East & West.
Leaders inspire others to leadership. We at JSB have taken up the challenging task of creating leaders not followers. The only thing that will enable us to do that is constant innovation. "Anything that works is obsolete" is the mantra at JSB. Business activities have always been the drivers of economic growth and in this context business leaders have always led from the front.
Jyotirmoy School of Business or JSB as we proudly call it, is the flagship of Jyotirmoy Knowledge Park. We deliberately chose Kolkata to locate ourselves in, as this city has always had an unparalleled intellectual legacy, which still boasts of producing some of the who's who of the world from India - Amartya Sen, Lakshmi Mittal. Amitabh Bachchan. Pranab Mukhenee, Vir Sanghvi all have some early connection with Kolkata and have found this city an effective spring board for furtherance of their careers.
The campus has been visualized on international lines in a serene location which shall inspire and enthuse budding managers and entrepreneurs. Its sprawling 22 acre surroundings are second only to the IIM-C. In the clutter of "me too" Business schools, this business school was envisioned with definite differentiators to offer. The campus is only one aspect of its' strengths. It has consistently focused on getting the best faculties from both academia and industry.
